General Operator with Warehouse Experience

We are seeking a skilled and reliable General Operative to join a busy Assembly facility. This role plays a vital part in supporting daily operations, ensuring materials are prepared, organised, and ready for production. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, safety-conscious, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Kitting: Gathering and organising parts, subassemblies, and materials according to production orders.


• Material Handling: Moving components and materials to and from workstations (including use of forklifts and other equipment).


• Inventory Management: Assisting with stock control, cycle counting, and reporting discrepancies.


• Quality Control: Carrying out basic checks on components and kits to ensure standards are met.


• Workplace Organisation: Maintaining a clean and safe working environment and reporting hazards.


• Machine Operation: Operating machinery as required to prepare components.


• Documentation: Completing paperwork and recording material movements where necessary.

Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment (valid licence desirable).


• Previous experience in kitting, goods-in, or materials handling.


• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and safety.


• Ability to work independently and contribute efficiency improvements.
