Rushcliffe Borough Council have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join the team on a 24 Month Fixed Term Contract.
Location: Rushcliffe, Nottinghamshire (NG2 7YG)
Job Type: Part Time, 20 hours per week, 24 Month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £24,132 - £25,527 Per Annum Pro Rata

Finance Assistant – The Role:
A Temporary part time opportunity has arisen within Financial Services working within our small but busy team providing daily support to our Systems & Performance Officer, Suppliers and Customers. The role is varied, covering sundry debtors, creditors, financial reporting, financial reconciliations, insurance administration, & payroll.
Finance Assistant – Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to help Financial Services achieve their targets and deadlines
- Upload and post daily, weekly, and monthly feeder files into the Finance system
- Handle supplier/customer queries, processing customer card payments over the phone
- Review and update new supplier/customer details in the finance system
- Input monthly payroll claims into spreadsheets for technician review
- Create twice-weekly supplier payment runs for approval and processing
- Run and send weekly creditor invoice reports to verifiers and requisitioners
- Record and forward incoming insurance claims to relevant insurers
- Record and allocate FOI requests, ensuring timely completion
Finance Assistant – You:
We require a strong team-player and excellent communicator with proven analytical skills.
It will be essential that you possess a good level of spreadsheet skills with the experience and ability to communicate financial data to both internal and external customers or colleagues.
This is a superb opportunity to expand or develop new knowledge and skills due to wide ranging nature of the role.
