Field Service Engineer

We are working with a NI company seeking their newest Field Service Engineer who will be responsible for servicing, inspecting, and repairing Distribution Tractors, Ro-Ro Tractors, and other machinery at customer sites. Work is often carried out independently, adhering to all health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and diagnostic repairs.


• Conduct inspections and report on accident-damaged equipment.


• Work unsupervised at customer locations, including out-of-hours and remote jobs.


• Ensure all work meets manufacturer standards and company safety procedures.


• Obtain customer sign-off upon completion of tasks.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Strong diagnostic and auto electrical repair experience.


• Proficient with modern diagnostic equipment.


• Good communication and time management skills.


• Knowledge of UK road traffic laws (e.g. driving hours, van weights).


• Ability to work flexibly and under pressure.

Qualifications & Experience

• City & Guilds Level 3 in Vehicle Mechanical and Electronic Systems (or equivalent).


• Full UK driving licence.
