Scena is one of the UK’s leading creative construction, set design, props, staging, exhibition and manufacture companies with over 39 years in the business.

Based in South London, in Croydon (CR0 4RR), we design and build sets for television, film, museums, theatres, conferences, exhibitions and the music industry worldwide.

We require Fabricator / Welders / Engineers to assist with production work starting as soon as possible.

The Role Will Include:

• Adhering to relevant welding practices.
• Manufacturing from fabrication drawings.
• Generating own cutting list and cut materials.
• Ensuring compliance to Health and Safety guidelines for the engineering workshop.
• Reporting directly to Workshop Foreman and Chargehand.

Skills Required:

• Applicants must be self-motivated, able to work under own initiative and to deadlines.
• Flexibility on working hours and practises – overtime hours available.
• Applicants must be experienced in Mild Steel Mig welding (Tig Ali/stainless steel would be an advantage).
• Time-served Apprentice required.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings is essential.

Benefits:

• Circa £35,000 – £50,000 a year, dependant on experience and hours worked.
