Estimator (Ventilation / HVAC)

Location: Belfast

Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 (DOE)

Type: Full-Time | Permanent

The Role

We are working with a well-established HVAC contractor seeking an Estimator to join their growing team. You’ll play a key role in pricing ventilation projects across commercial, domestic, and industrial sectors, working closely with commercial and design teams to deliver accurate and competitive estimates.

Key Duties

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for ventilation projects


• Review mechanical drawings and specifications


• Carry out site surveys and assess project requirements


• Advise on technical specifications and pricing


• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams


• Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives


• Track and manage estimate progress and deadlines


• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations & fire standards (BS476 / EN1366)

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in an estimating role (HVAC desirable)


• Strong understanding of ventilation systems


• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings


• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills


• Strong communication and problem-solving ability


• Proficient in Microsoft Office (estimating software desirable)
