Estimator
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, we are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our pre-construction team.
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of infrastructure projects including utilities, electrical works, EV charging installations and civil engineering works.
Working closely with the Business Development, Commercial and Operations teams, you will support the tendering process and help secure new projects.
Key Responsibilities
Review tender documents including drawings, specifications and schedules
Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing breakdowns
Undertake material, labour, plant and subcontractor take-offs
Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations
Identify project risks and opportunities during the tender stage
Support value engineering to improve project efficiency
Assist with tender clarifications and client queries
Participate in internal tender review and adjudication meetings
Support project handover to Commercial and Operations teams
Skills & Experience
Minimum 3 years’ estimating experience in construction, utilities, civil engineering or electrical infrastructure
Experience pricing utilities, renewable energy, EV charging or telecoms projects is desirable
Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Excellent analytical, numerical and organisational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software
Full UK or Ireland driving licence preferred
Working Hours
Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
Friday: 7:30am – 3:30pm
