Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Our client based in the Fareham area is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical and Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

HOURS

  • 06:00 – 14:30 Monday and 06:00 – 14:15 Tuesday to Friday
  • 13:45 – 22:15 Monday and 14:00 – 22:15 Tuesday to Friday

JOB PURPOSE

The main responsibility of this role includes the general day to day maintenance of all plant machinery and associated equipment alongside general site maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct TPM (planned maintenance) and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct the safe installation of new production lines in accordance with engineering and safety standards.
  • Conduct in-house relocation of machinery and associated equipment as required.
  • Maintain and repair lighting and power distribution systems.
  • Maintain and repair compressed air systems and related equipment.
  • Maintain and repair lighting and small power systems.
  • Maintain and repair equipment on assembly cells, including Siemens PLC-controlled systems.
  • Maintain and repair moulding machines and associated equipment.
  • Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic plant equipment.
  • Conduct pipework installations and relocations as required.
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs to all jigs and fixtures.
  • Conduct all necessary oil changes.
  • Ensure stock levels of spare parts are maintained and order replacements when required.
  • Ensure all plant and machinery comply with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Provide cross-departmental support as required.
  • Offer guidance and mentoring to Apprentices and Junior Engineers.
  • Work towards and achieve assigned Personal Business Objectives (PBOs).
  • Provide support during weekends as required to meet operational demands.
  • Ensure adherence to the 5S methodology to maintain an organised and efficient work environment.
  • Complete thorough and accurate handovers at shift changes or job completion to maintain continuity.

EDUCATION/TRAINING

  • Electrical and Mechanical Qualification

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working within a Maintenance department in a factory environment
  • Control system fault finding (electronic) and electrical
  • Injection moulding experience

KNOWLEDGE

  • Familiar with Single Phase and 3 Phase installation
  • Control system knowledge
  • PLC (Siemens and Mitsubishi ideally)
