EHS and Quality Coordinator - Role: 

Reporting to the Quality & EHS Manger, the EHS & Quality Co-ordinator will be responsible to carry out operational activities required to fulfil the business Environment, Health and Safety commitments. They will also be expected to support the continuous improvement of the quality systems and processes on site including supporting the Quality function.

EHS and Quality Coordinator - Responsibilities: 

Principal Responsibilities – EHS

- Maintain and communicate internal health, safety and environmental policies

- Undertaking risk assessments

- Identifying potential hazards and determining ways of reducing risks

- Ensuring compliance with current environment, health and safety legislation

- Investigating and recording incidents, accidents, near misses. Issue and follow up of recommendations and corrective and preventative actions following incidents or accidents

- Make weekly/ monthly site inspections

- Monitor and specify PPE.

- Order and issue non-stock PPE

Monitoring, managing general and hazardous waste programs and initiatives

- Support the EHS committee and its activities.

- Support inspections of purchased parts, according to controlled test methods, when required

- Conduct audits as per the product specs

Supporting Responsibilities – Quality

- Support inspections of purchased parts, according to controlled test methods, when required

- Control nonconforming products, and raise nonconforming reports (NCR)

- Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing

- Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner

-Conduct Gage R&R

- Participate in the development and/or revision of SOPs for the inspection function

- Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action

- Work closely with production management and Quality Assurance team to ensure on time delivery 

- Ensure UL documentation and data is correct, in order and available for inspection

- Assisting with Quality Engineer on PPAP and 8D reports, as required

EHS and Quality Coordinator - You: 

- Health and Safety professional qualification

- HNC/HND Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

- 5 GCSE’s A – C, or equivalent

- Environmental qualification

- At least 2 years in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environment

- Experience with OHSAS18001 and ISO14001:2015 framework

- Practical knowledge within H&S and Environmental industry

- Good understanding of legal Health & Safety regulations and Approved Codes of Practice

- Ability to conduct health and safety and environmental audits, equipment reviews and safety complaint reviews, as required

- Good working knowledge of Microsoft IT packages

- Ability to communicate at all levels

- Excellent oral and written English skills
