An experienced Document Controller is required to support pre-construction and live construction projects. This role focuses on managing, tracking, and maintaining accurate project documentation while supporting project teams.
Due to location and occasional site visits a full UK driving license will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage document control systems across multiple projects
- Track, log, and distribute drawings and technical documents
- Maintain document registers and ensure strict version control
- Upload/manage files on client systems and Common Data Environments (CDEs)
- Liaise with internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors
- Monitor project correspondence and ensure proper documentation storage
- Provide administrative support and assist with document retrieval
- Attend occasional site visits as required
Requirements
- Proven Document Controller experience within UK construction
- Strong understanding of document control and drawing processes
- Experience with document management systems/CDEs
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience in structural, civil, or general construction
- Familiarity with systems such as Viewpoint, Aconex, or Asite
- Pre-construction experience
Hours
- Monday to Thursday 8am – 5.30pm and Friday 8am – 4pm (1 hour lunch)
Salary
£30,000 – £40,000 (DOE)
