£48,000+ per annum // £24ph+

I'm thrilled to be searching for an experienced  Deputy Nurse Manager in the Newtownhamilton area. The Successful Candidate  will be a compassionate and dedicated nursing professional, possessing strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care to elderly and vulnerable residents. This individual will be an excellent communicator, an empathetic caregiver, and a proactive problem solver, ensuring residents' well-being and comfort in a supportive environment.

The role:




  • You will work closely with a highly motivated team who focus on providing the highest quality care to a diverse resident group.

  • To be a positive, visible role model; promoting our person-cantered philosophy of care to staff, the wider community, and visiting professionals

  • Maintain a consistently high standard of clinical and social care.

  • Writing, reviewing, and updating clinical policies and procedures as appropriate

  • Shadow the Nurse manager and Cover for the Nurse Manager when needed

  • Support the financial effectiveness of the home, ensuring the home operates within budget through effective use of resources and identifying areas to improve efficiency.

  • Provide information and support to patients’ families regarding care plans and treatment options.

  • Engage families in care decisions and discharge planning.


  • Emergency Response and Crisis Management




  • Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans.




  • Train staff in emergency procedures and conduct drills regularly




  • Lead the nursing team during emergencies and critical incidents.




  • Ensure proper documentation and review of incidents to improve future responses.




  • Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate nursing staff.




  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff, patients, and families.




  •  In-depth clinical knowledge and the ability to provide expert guidance.




  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex issues.




  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records.




  • Demonstrated empathy and compassion in patient care and staff interactions.





 



What we’re looking for:




  • You must be a fully qualified General Nurse, Mental health nurse, or Learning disability nurse

  • 2 years of Nurse experience

  • A Valid NMC Pin
