About the Role:
A well-established company is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the delivery of maintenance and improvement contracts across Northern Ireland. This full-time, permanent role is based in Newtownabbey area, with responsibility for managing subcontractors, direct labour, supply chain partners, planners, and administrators.
The successful candidate will ensure that all works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in line with client KPIs. Additionally, they will support the Head of Operations in managing resources and facilities within the depot.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee contract KPIs and performance metrics to ensure compliance
- Manage planning & scheduling of workstreams with the depot team
- Coordinate and oversee the supply chain, holding regular progress meetings
- Prepare and manage contract reports, KPI challenges, and improvement plans
- Work closely with the Quantity Surveying team to resolve contract-related queries
- Ensure materials, depot facilities, vehicles, and equipment are effectively managed
- Control waste management processes within the depot
- Support team management, including recruitment, performance monitoring, and staff development
- Assist in the onboarding of new team members
- Promote continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives across the business
- Represent the company in client meetings and maintain strong working relationships
- Contribute to management reviews and company-wide strategic planning
Requirements:
- Experience in the Construction Industry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- CSR Supervisor Card or NVQ equivalent
- Previous leadership experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience working on public sector or housing contracts
