With over 75 years of heritage, we combine long-term stability with a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and customer focus. Our people play a vital role in maintaining the high standards that our customers rely on every day.

As our Design & Manufacturing operation in Grantham continues to grow, we are now looking to appoint a Continuous Improvement Co-ordinator who will play a key role in driving operational improvements, supporting quality excellence and promoting a strong safety culture across our site.

The Role
Based at our manufacturing facility on Alma Park Industrial Estate in Grantham, this role will take the lead in driving continuous improvement activity across the site, helping to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and improve overall operational performance.

Working closely with production, quality and management teams, you will identify opportunities for improvement, lead initiatives and support the implementation of structured improvement programmes.

This is a hands-on and visible role, suited to someone who enjoys being close to operations, proactively identifying issues and turning them into practical, measurable improvements. Alongside continuous improvement activity, you will also support quality and health & safety standards, ensuring improvements are aligned with compliance and best practice.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and review existing processes to improve efficiency, productivity and effectiveness
  • Plan and deliver continuous improvement initiatives and projects across the site
  • Apply improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen to drive measurable results
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams to deliver improvement outcomes
  • Train and coach colleagues on continuous improvement tools and principles
  • Develop and monitor key performance metrics to track progress and impact
  • Provide regular updates and reports on improvement activity to management
  • Work with leadership teams to embed continuous improvement into wider business objectives
  • Promote and support a culture of proactive problem solving and continuous improvement
  • Support quality assurance activities with a focus on a zero-defect culture
  • Support health & safety initiatives with a focus on a zero-incident culture
  • Support the site’s ISO management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

What you will bring

Essential

  • Experience in a continuous improvement focused role, ideally within a manufacturing environment (ours is a small batch/short lead time production environment – so experience of a similar operation would also be advantageous)
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma or similar improvement methodologies
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for improving processes and performance
  • Experience supporting or working within ISO management systems (9001, 14001, 45001)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail and structured approach to problem solving
  • Confident communicator, able to engage with colleagues across production and operational teams
  • IOSH qualification (or equivalent) and a working knowledge of UK health & safety legislation

Desirable

  • Formal Lean / Six Sigma qualification (Green Belt or similar)
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards)
  • Experience within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience delivering training, toolbox talks or improvement workshops
  • Familiarity with compliance systems or digital HSEQ tools

What you will get

  • Competitive salary of £35,000-£45,000 depending on experience.
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Annual performance related incentive/bonus scheme
  • Company benefits package
  • Structured training and professional development opportunities
  • A supportive, collaborative working environment
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a growing manufacturing operation.
