Responsibilities
· Assist with preparation of year end accounts and reports
· Sole preparation of monthly management accounts, with overhead analysis and reporting
· Regular balance sheet reconciliations
· Intercompany accounting and reconciliation, along with posting monthly PAYE journals
· Maintaining fixed asset register
· Cost tracking and providing variable analysis on a monthly basis
· Overseeing the VAT and CIS returns and submissions, carried out by our finance assistant and purchase ledger
· Close monitoring and assistance with query and supplier resolutions
· Overseeing accounts payable and finalise monthly payment runs
· Carry out monthly departmental audits and reviews
· Supporting the finance manager and wider team as required
Requirements
· Experience in construction industry and an understanding of CIS preferred
· Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt your messaging for different audiences
· A basic understanding of the structure and purpose of financial reports
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
· A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to support and coordinate multiple project
· A strong sense of ownership, with the ability to independently manage tasks and take the lead on briefs when required.
