The Role
You’ll play a key role in delivering infrastructure schemes from concept through to construction, working closely with clients, local authorities, and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and delivery of S278 highway schemes
Highways and junction design (Section 38/278 agreements)
Surface water and foul drainage design
Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) design and strategy
Preparation of Flood Risk Assessments and drainage statements
Liaising with local authorities and statutory bodies
Supporting junior engineers where appropriate
About You
Minimum 3 years’ experience in civil infrastructure design
Strong working knowledge of drainage, highways, and SuDS
Experience delivering S278 schemes
Proficient in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage)
Good understanding of UK design standards and approval processes
Strong communication skills and client-facing confidence
