Carpentry and Joinery Lecturer – The Role:
As a Carpentry and Joinery Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of aspiring carpenters by providing mentorship and support to help students reach their full potential. You will deliver engaging lessons both in the classroom and workshop, where you’ll demonstrate various carpentry techniques and joinery skills. You will guide students through hands-on projects, ensuring they acquire the practical skills necessary for their future careers.
You will be responsible for developing and updating the curriculum to reflect current industry trends and standards, ensuring that your students receive relevant and high-quality education. This includes creating lesson plans, evaluating student performance, and providing constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement.
Carpentry and Joinery Lecturer - Key Responsibilities:

Carpentry and Joinery Lecturer – You:
- Proven industry experience in carpentry with a strong hands-on background
- Level 3 NVQ qualification (or higher) in Carpentry or a related field. Applications are welcome from qualified lecturers as well as industry professionals looking to transition into teaching
- Passion for teaching and a genuine desire to mentor and develop the next generation of carpenters
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students
