About the Role
BlackFox Solutions are delighted to be seeking a reliable and detail-focused Bookkeeper to manage our clients day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organisation, accuracy, and working with numbers, and who enjoys being a key part of a business’s financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Recording financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
- Maintaining and updating accounting records and ledgers
- Performing bank and credit card reconciliations
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Assisting with payroll processing
- Producing financial reports for management
- Supporting accountants with month-end and year-end procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
Desirable
- AAT qualification or equivalent
- Knowledge of UK VAT regulations
