About the company:



A leading M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) partner in the UK. They specialise in designing and installing building services and infrastructure solutions for commercial, defence and government clients. Producing M&E packages of up to £40m.



 



Role Overview:



Experienced M&E Bid Manager to play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of high-quality, strategic bids across core sectors. This is a dynamic, end-to-end bid management role for someone who can lead and coordinate every stage of the bid process, from early engagement and shaping win strategies to final submission, client presentations, and post-bid evaluations.



 



Key Responsibilities:




  • Manage the entire bid process from start to finish, ensuring each proposal aligns with client needs, business strategy, and delivery capabilities

  • Work closely with Pre-Construction, Estimating, Planning, Design, and Delivery teams to produce well-organised, high-quality bid submissions

  • Create strong win themes and strategic approaches that set the company apart in a competitive market

  • Embed industry best practices in sustainability, innovation, digital engineering, and modern methods of construction (MMC) within all proposals

  • Foster and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and client stakeholders throughout the bid journey

  • Lead critical bid milestones, including kick-off sessions, progress check-ins, quality reviews, and post-bid debriefs

  • Drive ongoing improvements to bidding tools, templates, and processes to support consistency and efficiency



 



Requirements:




  • Proven track record of successfully managing bids within MEP, construction, or other technically complex project environments

  • Comprehensive understanding of the full bidding process, covering technical, commercial, and operational elements—not limited to pricing

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence a range of stakeholders

  • Strong team player with a collaborative approach and a sharp focus on accuracy, quality, and presentation

  • Familiarity with key sustainability and social value standards, including BREEAM, Net Zero, and Social Value initiatives (desirable)

  • Resilient and organised, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and priorities in fast-paced environments
