Looking for a role where you can take on complex audits, develop your team, and work with a range of clients? Our client in Reading is seeking an Audit Manager to make a big impact.
Our client is a fast growing, Top 50 Firm, with offices across the South of England. They work with a variety of sectors, including NFP, Technology, Professional Services and Owner Managed Businesses, from start-up scale, to large corporates with turnovers of up to £300m. The firm also has a high-profile international brand and boasts some exceptional multi-national clients. Comprised of many home grown partners, the firm offers fantastic progression opportunities and both personal and professional growth.
Audit Manager responsibilities will include:
- Lead client audits from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Manage and mentor your audit team, supporting development, appraisals, and training.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as their main point of contact for audits.
- Review financial statements and working papers, ensuring compliance with UK auditing standards (FRS 102, ISA, etc.).
- Oversee WIP, billing, and engagement budgets, maintaining profitability and efficiency.
- Support business growth by identifying opportunities within existing clients and assisting with proposals.
- Provide technical guidance on complex accounting issues to your team and clients.
- Ensure audit quality and compliance, adhering to firm policies and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate multiple engagements, balancing workload and deadlines across your portfolio.
As a Audit Manager you will be/have:
- ACA or ACCA Qualified
- Over 3 years’ post-qualified experience
- Experienced in managing a portfolio of clients
- Demonstrate the ability to manage and develop a team of staff
