Our client is a leading Top 10 Firm and the UK’s largest specialist provider to the SME sector. With a vast international network and over 1,000 staff across their UK offices, they combine a massive resource pool with a supportive, local-team feel in their newly established Bury St Edmunds hub.

Audit Associate responsibilities

• Take ownership of your own portfolio of smaller audit assignments while supporting Managers on complex, large-scale engagements.


• Complete comprehensive audit fieldwork and analytical procedures, frequently working on-site to build strong client relationships across Suffolk.


• Prepare statutory financial statements from client data, identifying high-level risk areas and exercising professional judgement for Partner review.


• Ensure all audit files are planned and completed with sufficient documentation in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.

As the successful candidate you will

• Be ACA, ACCA, or AAT part-qualified with at least 18–36 months of experience within a UK professional practice.


• Possess a strong technical understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS, and current Auditing Standards.


• Have a proven track record of executing audit assignments across a variety of industry sectors.


• Demonstrate the motivation to mentor junior team members and participate in local business development events.
