  • Assistant Locality Manager – Suffolk
  • Full time – 37.5 hours per week (30 hours off-rota)

Are you an experienced team leader or deputy manager ready to take the next step in your career? Dimensions are offering a fantastic opportunity for a passionate, resilient, and driven Assistant Locality Manager to join our homes in Suffolk.

You’ll play a key role in managing high-quality support for adults with learning disability, autism, and behaviours of distress. With 27 staff members across four homes and a growing locality, this role demands someone who can confidently lead by example, communicate clearly (both written and verbal), and manage multiple priorities, from rota planning and risk assessments to 1:1s and staff supervisions.

The role includes 4 off-rota days per week to focus on key managerial tasks: staff performance reviews, booking training, ensuring compliance, updating support plans and systems, attending reviews and stakeholder meetings, and contributing to continuous home improvement. You’ll also be expected to work 1 on-shift support day to stay connected to the people we support and lead by example.

Flexibility is key, including occasional weekend support, covering shifts in emergencies, spot checks on nights, and participating in our on-call rota.

We're looking for someone with strong people management skills, IT confidence, the ability to hold fair but firm conversations, and a clear understanding of what it means to lead with integrity and purpose. This dual role requires professional boundaries, time management, and a commitment to high standards.

If you’re ready to be part of something bigger and make a genuine difference every day, apply now and be part of the future of social care with Dimensions.

The total annual pay for the role is currently £35,742.07 made up of a basic salary of £31,770.73 plus an additional 12.5% annual allowance for 30 off rota hours of £3971.34.

About you

To succeed in this role, you’ll need experience as a senior support worker or team leadership, ideally within behaviours of distress. A good understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and CQC expectations is important, as is the ability to use digital systems to manage records and compliance.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you’ll be expected to write reports, consult with professionals, and contribute to home planning. A Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable, or you should be willing to work towards it.

The rewards

In return, you’ll receive a competitive salary, excellent training, and access to our award-winning development programme, Aspire. We offer a supportive team environment, flexible working, and a benefits package that includes up to 35 days of annual leave, pension contributions, and discounts on shopping and travel.
