Assistant Accountant / Accounts Technician

Up to £36,000 + Benefits

Joining a fast-growing construction business with a focus on the healthcare & medical sectors, you will support the company with daily transactional processing, reconciliations, reporting, and project cost tracking. 

Working alongside the Finance Manager, you will be: 

• Maintain and reconcile purchase and sales ledgers 


• Prepare journals and assist with monthly management accounts 


• Process supplier invoices, purchase orders, and payments


• Manage bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow reporting


• Support credit control and debt management


• Assist with VAT returns, Intrastat, and RCT/CIS reporting

What we are looking for: 

• Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping


• 2 years' experience in a finance/accounts role


• Knowledge of Sage 50 or other accounting software 


• Positive and proactive approach
