Assistant Accountant

We are working on behalf of our client, an established accountancy practice who are looking for an accounts assistant / accounts technician to join their growing team on a full time or part time basis.

Duties of the role include:

• Preparation of sole trader and partnership accounts


• Completion of personal and partnership tax returns and assistance with tax-related queries


• Preparation and submission of VAT returns


• Liaising directly with clients and responding to queries in a professional manner


• Supporting the practice with general accounting and compliance tasks as required

Can you demonstrate?

• Proven experience working within an accountancy practice


• Experience preparing accounts for sole traders and partnerships


• Working knowledge of tax returns and VAT


• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills


• Confident communicator with a client-focused approach
