About the Role



We are working with a prestigious luxury residence located in the heart of Kensington, renowned for exceptional service and world-class living standards. They are now seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Maintenance Manager to support the ongoing delivery of a first-class maintenance service across our property.



Working closely with the Chief Engineer, this is a hands-on leadership role where you will help oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, manage a skilled engineering team and ensure the building is maintained to the highest possible standards.



Key Responsibilities





  • Support the Chief Engineer with the daily operation of all maintenance and engineering activities




  • Supervise, lead and motivate a team of engineers and assistants




  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond effectively to reactive issues




  • Diagnose and resolve faults across mechanical, electrical and building systems




  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation and statutory requirements




  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and documentation




  • Coordinate and manage external contractors and specialist suppliers




  • Uphold exceptional standards of presentation, service and professionalism throughout the residence





About You





  • Proven supervisory experience within a luxury residential, 5-star hospitality or premium environment




  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, BMS and plumbing




  • Relevant technical qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)




  • Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills




  • A hands-on, proactive approach with strong attention to detail




  • Ability to lead by example and inspire a high-performing team
