Summary Description:
To provide efficient administrative and clerical support to the Charity in promoting and developing neighbourhood care in Croydon. To proactively carry out a range of support services including collating statistics, undertaking research and being the first point of contact for enquiries. To take responsibility for managing a range of projects including the Household Support Fund, the management of emails by regularly circulating information to and from member groups and providing support to finance and befriending teams.
Tuesday - Thursday (16 - 18 hours per week)
Fixed Term Contract - 12 months
LLW - £10,940.80 - £12,308.40
Main Duties:
- Manage and distribute the main Charity’s incoming emails and circulating member group’s relevant emails.
- All stationery and other materials are properly acquired and managed.
- Assist and support the Finance, Befriending and Office Manager with day-to-day tasks including mail, photocopying, premises issues, answering telephone calls and record keeping.
- Assist the Charity with collating application forms for the Household Fund, supporting the groups with the process and collate monitoring.
- Regularly file papers for Manager and maintain an up-to-date Masters Contact List (regularly review and check details are correct).
- Updating the website and create a bi-weekly bulletin.
- The post holder is expected to carry out, in addition to the already mentioned duties, any other duties reasonably expected within the general level of the position.
Experience/Knowledge and Skills:
- Good communication skills.
- Good IT skills.
- Good understanding of confidentiality.
- A passion to develop and promote the service.
- Work within good practice and organisational guidelines.
- Carry out other relevant tasks necessary within the scope of the post.
- Willingness and interest to learn about the Charity and the service they provide.
- GCSE Grade C or Grade 4 in Mathematics and English.
