Our client is a highly regarded Top 100 Firm with a strong presence across the South East. Known for their ambitious growth and professional yet supportive culture, they manage a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from entrepreneurs to large OMBs with turnovers up to £4 million.

Accounts Senior responsibilities

• 
  

  Lead the preparation of statutory accounts, year-end financial statements, and tax returns for a varied client base including property, haulage, and agricultural sectors.

  
  


• 
  

  Oversee complex bookkeeping and management accounting projects, ensuring all control accounts are reconciled and VAT returns are filed accurately.

  
  


• 
  

  Act as a Xero champion within the team, providing technical support to both colleagues and clients to optimize cloud accounting processes.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain and develop strong client relationships, attending meetings and resolving technical queries to ensure a high level of service delivery.

  
  

As the successful candidate you will

• 
  

  Be AAT, ACA, or ACCA qualified, or possess equivalent experience gained within a UK professional practice environment.

  
  


• 
  

  Have at least 5 years of experience in practice, with a strong background in statutory accounts and corporate tax.

  
  


• 
  

  Be a Xero accredited user with advanced proficiency in cloud accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  
  


• 
  

  Demonstrate experience managing a diverse client portfolio and working effectively toward tight statutory deadlines.
